The Windsor Chavis Nocho Community Complex will replace an existing library and recreation center into a new singular facility, creating a center for wellness and learning within an historically underserved community. The site, which was previously a heart of community, was bisected by the introduction of a major thoroughfare, which divided a once active park and recreation center into two distinct parcels. The project will create a destination where both library and recreational programs happen side-by-side, both in the building and the landscape, and is designed to promote knowledge sharing and cross-generational mixing between its users.
