The new NC Central University Student Center redefines the NCCU student experience, enhancing the campus culture and furthering a strong tradition of teaching, research, and service. An angled and transparent architecture creates open public spaces around the building and reveals activities and programs within, welcoming the campus and community. Green spaces and plazas merge outdoor and interior activities. The central commons reflects the “get loud and celebrate” culture of NCCU. Flexible lounges and multipurpose spaces for performance and social events serve a variety of campus gatherings to further promote a merger of student activities and an enhanced sense of belonging.
