The Atrium Union West campus is home to a new full-service hospital and medical office building in rural Stallings, NC, just east of Charlotte. By connecting to the agrarian community with a scaled and sensitive approach, the result is a hospital that doesn’t look like a hospital. A façade composition of layers and texture relates to the ‘strata’ of the reddish-brown farming soils and the North Carolina Piedmont’s rolling hills. This Health & Wellness campus is a source of local pride as a community gateway and destination for holistic health – including walking trails, gardens, and art gallery showcasing local talent.
