Location: Cliffside, NC
The Rodgers Energy Complex is situated along a 60’ rock cliff face, and is a 19,805 SF two story office building that is utilized by the Duke Energy Cliffside Plant engineering and administrative team. In addition to creating a collaborative workplace, the facility is intended to provide respite for team members working in the plant. The design response had to balance a quiet workplace with the need for employees to be in close proximity to the plant and its active, noise-laden context. The project team employed both fundamental and technical sustainable design practices to help achieve these goals.
