Wooden topographical islands, a reference to the piedmont’s rolling hills, create a meandering path of curated apparel and goods. During private events and fashion shows, the islands create informal seating areas and a marke the path of the runway. The two pleated side walls wrapped in aluminum leafing create shelving and bays for hanging clothes while the larger folds create dressing rooms distributed throughout the retail space. The service bar, which contains the restroom, cash point, jewelry room, and a large fitting room for alterations, is composed of roman travertine panels with arched openings highlighting the different environments.
