The adaptive reuse of the historic Monticello Dairy is the revival of a community landmark located in the 10th & Page neighborhood of Charlottesville, VA

Tracing its roots to 1912, the Monticello Ice Cream Company began as a one-room ice cream business that grew into a renowned dairy business that provided Charlottesville residents with milk, butter, and ice cream for over 70 years. 

Today, the Dairy Market, includes the Dairy Market Food Hall and new Class A office building, is a community resource that supports minority businesses and entrepreneurs involved with the Virginia farm-to-table culinary industry and Charlottesville’s business industry.
