A primary design objective for the nature preserve’s new facility is to entice visitors to explore the outdoor world and to create a sense of wonder in the visitor by connecting them to the outside world. To help achieve this, the new combined Nature/Raptor Center will be designed to intentionally blend the boundary between interior and exterior. Exhibits will be expected to find creative ways to reinforce this effort. Interactive, playful, and participatory exhibits will engage visitors directly with nature while accompanied by dynamic interpretive programming that speaks to a wide range of visitor preferences and learning levels.
