The North Carolina Coastal Federation Net-Zero designed headquarters on the Bogue Sound aims to enhance and showcase the mission of the federation through a building that lives in symbiosis with the fragile coastal environment. By taking advantage of five distinct ecosystems on the site, the building prioritizes the spaces and connections between the building pavilions as an immersive biological learning experience. Office space, community event center, educational pavilion, oyster enclosure, and a dock folly provide hands-on education on low impact development and hurricane resilient design for the entire coast of North Carolina.
