Atrium Health’s goal for their new Union West Hospital is a a cutting-edge health campus with a completely new attitude and aesthetic. Great care has been taken to design a calming patient experience inside and out – one that feels more like a visit to a health and wellness retreat while still providing exceptional patient care and healing.

The exterior design of the hospital is broken into distinct horizontal ‘strata’ to reflect the layered agrarian history of Stallings, NC – a small farming town in transition to a suburban community of metropolitan Charlotte.
