Freeman Kennett Architects
Location: High Point, NC
The Bank on Wrenn project in High Point, NC is a renovation and addition to what was originally the formalist mid-century modern downtown branch of Wachovia National Bank. The 37,706 SF original structure was designed by noted Charlotte firm Odell Associates in 1964. The reimagined furniture showroom building is home to the Made Goods, Pigeon and Poodle, and Colt home furnishings lines and includes a new 2,400 SF three story entry addition. The transparent entry addition re-orients the main pedestrian entrance to the Wrenn Street elevation providing a colorful and dynamic opening into the heart of the downtown showroom district.
