The Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center campus in Dallas, Texas, pursues a mission of research and education activities focused on urban agriculture. Envisioned to be among the nation’s premier agricultural research and education centers, the new facility creates an architecturally significant statement with a dramatic rooftop greenhouse and water cistern that are reflective of AgriLife’s focus on urban agricultural research and education. Designed as an agricultural research station of the future, the complex showcases “science in sight,” and demonstration areas that illustrate urban ag and water conservation technologies.
