The McGrady Family Gym is a wooden camp building inspired by summer camp structures of the early 20th century. It was built to keep in the tradition of these structures and their natural surroundings. The intention was to create a centering, multipurpose building that would allow for covered programming during inclement weather. Placed on a sloping site next to the camp lake and adjacent to the playing field, it incorporates a full regulation, wood-floor basketball court, a fireplace, a stage, and an indoor soccer field. It’s a full timber-frame building, pure in its elements and indigenous in its materials.
