Location: Brier Creek, NC

The new 7,000 square foot Mellow Mushroom in Brier Creek, NC pays tribute to the Warehouse District in nearby Raleigh, incorporating the aesthetics of re-purposed warehouses and factories and the area’s public murals. The design concept created two freestanding structures—one brick, the other wood—connected by an enclosed courtyard. A covered patio resembles an industrial ruin, with a partial brick wall and roof with a central opening. The interior palette reflects the exterior with wood, brick, concrete, metal, and glass. Design accents include a metal chain room divider, live-edge wood tables, and industrial light fixtures.
