A master planning process positioned the new Discovery Center at the heart and entrance of the Bullis School. Varied building forms and an emphasis on transparency open the Center’s next-generation learning environment to the campus. Flexible classrooms, unique interior features and furnishings, and common spaces integrate all grade levels for STEAM education. Entrepreneurial and social spaces mirror today’s creative workplaces and coexist with traditional chemistry, biology and physics education to promote collaboration and invention. The architecture’s extensive glazing reveals the grand stair and curved wall of the second-floor entrepreneurship lab, presenting a new, forward looking face to the entire campus.
