The DCL Studio is a video and audio recording studio tucked inside a functioning warehouse. The project had multiple design challenges, including reducing sound transmission from the warehouse noise, and notifying warehouse employees and visitors when recording was in progress. With an incredibly low budget, the Architect had to get creative with the design to create an exciting and welcoming space, even though the recording space itself is essentially a "black box."
