Perry Poole Architects
Location: Charlotte, NC
The NoDa House was conceived as a Modern variant of the traditional mill houses that dominate the historically working-class Charlotte neighborhood of North Davidson (NoDa). The property was purchased in 2006 by architect Perry Poole, who envisioned the NoDa House as the first in a series of case studies. The project served as an opportunity for Perry Poole Architects to experiment with a modified design-build method that could deliver a specific vision of design without compromise— to employ classic materials with a Modern point of view, making the most with simple gestures.
