Robert A.M. Stern Architects
Location: Elon, North Carolina
Our additions and renovations to the McEwen School of Communications give Elon University a new front door: a glassy pavilion on a new arrival plaza faces the town's main street, offering a view to a quadrangle at the southwest corner of the campus and providing a transparent gathering space for the school while carrying forward Elon's Georgian character. The new Schar Hall, the renovated McEwen Building, the Snow Family Atrium, and the new Steers Pavilion provide the School of Communications with new state-of-the-art classrooms, broadcast media studios, study areas, and a 230-seat auditorium.
