C DESIGN 

Location: Charlotte, NC

This 1971, 130,000 sf building served as the University’s basketball arena until the completion of the Student Activity Center in 1985. The new arena, along with more current curriculum needs, created a program which required a complete repurposing and renovation of the existing building, systems, and code compliant changes. The new program included multiple fitness spaces, locker rooms, Natatorium, Kinesiology and Recreation staff offices, classrooms, a lecture hall and generous lobby.
