Formerly a truck repair facility dating from the 1950's, the renovated Atlanta Contemporary Art Center campus now houses galleries, a lecture hall, a resource room for art media, artist studios, and reception areas. The collection of historic buildings is varied and contrasting in both geometry and materiality. The renovation did not attempt to blend or rectify these collisions of form. Geometries are intentionally overlapped and amplified to allow for shared light, crossing activities, and connecting views.
