Steelcase Headquarters Expansion

An invited competition for a new Senior Executive Team meeting and workspace in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Located at Steelcase’s Learning & Exploration Center, the new space serves as an interface between the SET and the Steelcase campus, allowing for both formal and casual meetings in a flexible and inviting space. We developed a strategy to provide a variety of productive spaces by intermingling types and scales of work, lounge, and courtyard spaces. In addition to providing access to nature throughout the executive area itself, courtyards and roof gardens provide new types of outdoor spaces for the Steelcase Campus at large.
