The CARTI Cancer Center provides a centralized location for comprehensive oncology care set in a rocky wooded landscape. This spa-like environment creates a place of respite for patients, family and staff. The building, which is clad in a locally sourced limestone, is visible as a landmark from the main roadway below. The stone scored and carved to reveal the warmer inviting interior is mostly solid on the east and west façade to mitigate the buildings solar heat gain exposure. The large north and south facing glass façades open up to beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and downtown Little Rock.
