Green Square Parking Deck

Part of an architecturally diverse urban site, the Green Square Parking Deck pays respect to existing adjacent buildings through scale, materials, and views. It strives to be a model of sustainability through architectural tectonics and urban densification. The design created a centralized parking facility that allowed for the repurposing of an array of surface parking lots, most of which have become new high density urban in-fill projects. An enclosure system of aluminum fins acts as a curtain that provides sun shading, creates varying levels of transparency and depth, and highlights the structures sustainable features.
